Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous for his role as the star of the well-known TV series 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both the television and film industry, but it was his smaller-screen roles which earned him fame and an extensive fan base. There is no doubt that he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters on both one side of the legal system. In the first television show in which he played the role of a killer. Then, he went on to portray the role as an NYPD Detective. Numerous times, he was nominated for the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards.
